Job Title: Systems Operator - MCR

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Master Control functions for television channels and related broadcast services, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted broadcast operations
• Monitor broadcast signals across IPTV, OTT, Terrestrial, and Satellite platforms, follow program schedules, operate playout and routing systems, and promptly resolve on-air issues
• Record programs from incoming feeds, ingest content from various sources, verify metadata, and maintain the Content Management System
• Maintain accurate records of playout server discrepancies, equipment incidents, daily recordings, and Master Control operations

The ideal candidate should possess:

• NVQ Level 4 qualification in IT/Telecommunication or a Diploma in Film, Camera, Lighting and Production Techniques from a recognized institution
• Minimum two years of experience in television broadcast operations (Studio/OB/ Master Control)
• A sound understanding of television broadcast technical operations and industry best practices
• Working knowledge of video and audio file formats, properties and codecs, streaming technologies, computer networking, operating systems such as MS Windows, Linux, and macOS, along with good typing skills in English and Sinhala
