Systems Engineer

Role Summary

DirectFN is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on the robust management and maintenance of server environments to ensure high availability and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain diverse server environments across Linux and Windows platforms.
• Administer virtualization technologies including VMware ESXi and KVM.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure deployments within OCI and AWS.
• Implement system hardening, security patching, and comprehensive backup and disaster recovery protocols.
• Utilize scripting and automation to streamline system management and monitoring.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and support, including after-hours assistance and on-site client visits.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Between 3 to 5 years of practical experience in systems engineering and server administration.
• Deep technical knowledge of Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server/Active Directory.
• Proficiency in cloud and virtualization management (OCI, AWS, VMware).
• Ability to script using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Professional certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, MCSA/MCSE, VCP, or Oracle Cloud credentials are highly valued.
• Strong communication skills and the flexibility to support clients as needed.
