Systems Engineer

Role Summary

We are looking for a customer-oriented Systems Engineer located in Sri Lanka to support a prominent Australian IT Services Provider. This role involves managing modern IT infrastructures and providing high-level technical assistance to corporate clients in Australia. You will work during Australian business hours to ensure secure and efficient system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Manage incident handling via phone and email, ensuring all tickets are logged and escalated according to SLA standards.
• System Administration: Oversee Windows endpoints, user applications, and connectivity issues. Manage Microsoft 365 ecosystems, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint, alongside identity management via Entra ID and Intune.
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Hyper-V virtual environments. Monitor network health (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi) and manage backup solutions like Veeam or Acronis.
• Project Support: Assist with cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and technical documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Communication: Exceptional English proficiency is mandatory for interacting with Australian clients via voice and written text.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in systems administration or managed services, specifically with M365, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Networking Knowledge: Practical understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Work Environment: Must have a secure, quiet home office with high-speed internet and reliable power/internet backups.
• Preferred Skills: Experience in an MSP environment, knowledge of Azure or PowerShell, and relevant IT certifications.
