ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you a skilled tailor with an eye for detail? OVS is looking for a talented in-house tailor to join our retail team in the Maldives. In this role, you will provide professional garment alteration services, ensuring our customers' clothing fits perfectly while maintaining the highest standards of quality and design integrity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Fittings & Measurements: Conduct accurate customer fittings and recommend the best alteration options for trousers, shirts, dresses, suits, and more.
• Expert Alterations: Perform high-quality adjustments—including hemming, tapering, sleeve shortening, and waist adjustments—while preserving the garment's original style.
• Quality Control: Inspect, press, and steam all completed garments to ensure a flawless, ready-to-wear finish.
• Customer Experience: Deliver friendly, professional service, communicating clearly with customers and coordinating with the sales team.
• Workspace Management: Keep the alteration area clean and organized; safely maintain sewing equipment, and manage stock levels for tailoring essentials.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional tailoring or garment alteration experience (retail clothing/ready-to-wear experience is highly preferred).
• Technical Skills: Confident operator of sewing machines with a strong understanding of various fabrics, fitting techniques, and alteration methods.
• Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple requests on deadline.
• Team Player: A positive, customer-focused communicator willing to support overall store operations.
