Tax Specialist

Role Summary

Weerasinghe and Co. is looking for a Tax Executive to join our firm of professional accountants.

Key Responsibilities

• TIN registrations and obtaining PIN numbers
• Obtaining tax clearances and attending to routine matters at the Inland Revenue Department
• Daily visits to the Inland Revenue Department
• Preparation of validated VAT, APIT and WHT schedules
• Preparation and filing of VAT, SSCL, APIT, WHT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) returns
• Liaising with clients and following up on tax-related matters
• Assisting with general tax compliance and administrative work

Requirements

• Previous experience in Sri Lankan tax matters is essential
• Good knowledge of Inland Revenue procedures and tax compliance requirements
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and government officers
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Salary/Benefits

Salary: Rs 60,000/= per month, commensurate with experience.
