Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy of technical assessments done on new styles and information provided to relevant departments on the resources required to commence production.
  • Monitor the preparation of pilot study samples to ensure customer specifications are met whilst communicating any discrepancies to relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Engage in machine layout arrangements with the mechanical & industrial engineering teams and provide input in work place engineering processes, machine adjustments & skill requirements to meet expected product, fit & quality at all production modules.
  • Ensure the technical skill development scheme is effectively implemented to develop desired skill levels whilst organizing relevant training programs to ensure availability of effectively trained staff to meet both current and future product requirements.
  • Identify and analyse bottlenecks caused by technical / quality issues and co-ordinate with relevant personal to resolve same in a timely and effective manner.
  • Engage with the Product Development Centre to understand the product complexities, skill & quality requirements of future products and ensure the necessary preparations are in place to facilitate production.
  • Provide leadership to production engineering teams in order to drive product integration across modules whilst ensuring the intended efficiency & quality levels are met.
  • Engage in inculcating a problem-solving culture within the team.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering with 4 – 5 years of experience OR 5 – 6 years of relevant work experience in the same field supported with suitable qualifications.
  • Prior experience in handing Intimates Wear (Bra, Shapewear & Sportswear).
  • Knowledge in Bonding & Moulding.
  • Communication and training skills.
  • Good Analytical skills.
