Technical Lead - Data Engineering

Role Summary

Hatchyard is looking for a seasoned Technical Lead specializing in Data Engineering to spearhead the development of enterprise-grade applications and data integration systems. This leadership role requires a professional capable of managing teams while maintaining deep technical involvement in complex data architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of robust ETL processes for massive datasets.
• Oversee the development of production-ready enterprise applications and data solutions.
• Manage engineering teams within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Optimize database performance and ensure efficient data processing workflows.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Over 5 to 6 years of professional experience in software development and team management.
• Proven expertise in distributed processing frameworks, specifically Apache Spark.
• Strong proficiency in relational database management, particularly MySQL, including OLAP/OLTP design and query optimization.
• Solid grasp of software engineering principles, including Design Patterns and UML.
• Preferred Skills: Familiarity with NoSQL technologies (such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or CouchDB), Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop), DevOps practices, and cloud platforms like AWS.
