Technical Project Manager | Marketplace SaaS Delivery Lead

Role Summary

We are a Toronto, Canada-based company building a reusable recommerce marketplace software backbone. We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager / Marketplace SaaS Delivery Lead to manage the complete software development process in a cost-effective, scalable, and professional way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full software development lifecycle from planning to launch.
  • Convert business requirements into technical tasks.
  • Prepare project timelines, milestones, and delivery schedules.
  • Determine the most cost-effective development model (in-house, freelancers, contractors, or agencies).
  • Recruit, evaluate, and manage software developers, UI/UX designers, and QA testers.
  • Review developer work to ensure long-term code quality.
  • Coordinate development across modules (frontend, backend, database, payment, seller verification, admin panel).
  • Ensure software reusability across different industries.
  • Maintain documentation, technical specifications, and user stories.
  • Set up quality control, testing, bug tracking, and release management.
  • Monitor development costs and ensure security best practices.
  • Communicate with the business owner and create a long-term roadmap for SaaS modules.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software project management, technical project management, or software delivery.
  • Strong understanding of web application development.
  • Experience managing developers using PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, React, Vue, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with marketplace, e-commerce, SaaS, or fintech-related projects.
  • Ability to review technical solutions and challenge poor architecture.
  • Good understanding of databases, APIs, admin panels, payment gateways, and cloud hosting.
  • Experience working with remote developers and distributed teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira, Trello, ClickUp, GitHub, GitLab, or similar tools.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Location

Remote position. Candidates in South Asia / Southeast Asia preferred. Must be available for regular online meetings with Toronto, Canada time zone overlap.

Salary/Benefits

  • Monthly fixed salary or contract fee, depending on experience.
  • Full-time or long-term contract.
  • Long-term opportunity if the first phase is successful.
