Technical Specialist with Quantity Surveying Background

Role Summary

Jaysons Realty (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Officer with practical Quantity Surveying (QS) experience to oversee technical aspects of construction and maintenance projects, supporting cost control, contractor management, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise construction, renovation, and maintenance projects from commencement to completion.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates.
• Ensure design specifications are followed and coordinate with management.
• Obtain quotations, evaluate bids, and recommend contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project budgets and control costs.
• Measure and certify contractor work for progress payments.
• Conduct site inspections for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal departments.
• Monitor project schedules and report on progress, delays, and technical issues.
• Verify material quality and finish standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, technical reports, and invoice/bill payment records.

Requirements/Qualifications

• NCT (CIVIL) / NDT / HNDE or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in Civil Quantity Surveying, cost estimation, and contract administration.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in luxury project construction, housing projects, property development, or hotel maintenance.
• Sound understanding of commercial, quality, statutory compliance, and safety standards.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Projects.
• Ability to work extended hours during tight schedules and under minimum supervision.
• Strong written and spoken English is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel to different project locations.
• Age between 25 – 45 years.

Head Office is situated in Mount Lavinia; willingness to travel to different project locations/properties is required.
