Technical Officer (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering)

Role Summary

SLIIT is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join the team as a Technical Officer attached to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring a safe, clean, and well-organized environment within all laboratories to support effective teaching and learning activities.
• Facilitating and assisting academic staff in conducting laboratory sessions smoothly and without interruptions.
• Monitoring laboratory equipment, coordinating repairs of defective items, and arranging suitable alternatives.
• Maintaining buffer stocks of consumables, updating laboratory inventory records, and coordinating procurement in consultation with the HOD.
• Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is regularly calibrated, verified, and maintained.
• Reporting any damage, loss, or irregularities to the HOD and carrying out additional duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• NVQ level 6 or equivalent qualification in the relevant field.
• Sound knowledge of laboratory equipment and its operation.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.

Location

Main campus located in Malabe.
