Assistant Lecturer (Temporary) - Department of Mechanical Engineering

Role Summary

The Faculty of Engineering at SLIIT is looking for a talented, enthusiastic, and committed individual for the post of Assistant Lecturer (Temporary).

Requirements/Qualifications

• A 1st or 2nd class upper honours four-year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Alternatively, a 1st or 2nd class honours three-year bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree at SLQF Level 9 equivalent or above in the required specialization.
• At least one year of experience in teaching at the undergraduate level or satisfactory industrial experience.
• Evidence of research output is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct lectures and tutorials for undergraduate students.
• Conduct Labs for undergraduate students.
• Maintain the health and safety during lab experiments.
• Provide support to the activities of the department and faculty.
• Conduct research and carry out publications.
