Fabric Sourcing Manager - Malabe

Role Summary

Colombo Design House (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Fabric Sourcing Manager to lead fabric sourcing strategy, build strong supplier partnerships, and ensure the timely procurement of high-quality materials for our 100% shirt manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fabric sourcing strategies for woven shirt production.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage local and international fabric suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and supply agreements.
• Ensure fabrics meet buyer quality standards and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with Design, Merchandising, Planning, and Production teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze fabric costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay updated with global textile innovations, fashion trends, and sustainable sourcing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in fabric sourcing within the apparel manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, textile construction, dyeing, finishing, and garment production processes.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier relationship management, and analytical skills.
• Experience working with international buyers and overseas suppliers.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
