Training & Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct practical retail sales training programs to improve sales performance.
• Train staff on customer service, customer handling, communication, and selling techniques.
• Design training programs for shopping mall and retail operations.
• Conduct comprehensive cashier training (POS, billing, cash handling, accuracy, customer interaction).
• Develop and implement staff motivation and engagement programs.
• Conduct performance assessments and provide coaching and feedback.
• Lead training needs analysis and build the annual training plan, budget and calendar.
• Train supervisors and team leaders on leadership, team management and people skills.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or professional qualification in HR, Training & Development, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Training & Development, preferably within Retail, shopping mall, Hospitality, FMCG, or a customer-focused organization.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with employees at different levels and identify their training needs.
• Good command of English and Sinhala.
• Ability to travel between branches/outlets when required.
