Junior Executive - Vessel Operations

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with local authorities for inward and outward clearance documentation to ensure uninterrupted vessel calls.
• Ensure smooth cargo discharging/loading by coordinating with Maldives Port Limited (MPL) and customs.
• Liaise with principals and agents to ensure vessel operations meet deadlines.
• Manage vessel-related special requirements in compliance with guidelines and regulations.
• Monitor vessel performance against declared CP terms using agent and authority reports.
• Cross-check post-fixture activities with SOF for non-line shipping activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to customers.
• Maintain equipment inventory, update principal systems, and coordinate with port authorities to evacuate empties and avoid extra storage charges.
• Coordinate with MPL for container release and with customers for timely container returns.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Three passes at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar field.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
