Warehouse & Distribution Manager - Papua New Guinea

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily stock control and inventory management systems for DC.
- Ensure accurate, timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to all branch.
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain organized, safe, and clean warehouse and yard environments.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, freight, and transport schedules
- Liaise with customs brokers, shipping lines, and local transport providers
- Optimize delivery routes and monitor vehicle/fleet performance
- Manage shipping and customs documentation efficiently.
- Ensure ARO's managed with efficiency.
- Supervise, train, and schedule distribution and warehouse staff
- Enforce workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and safe equipment operation
- Monitor operational KPIs to improve productivity and reduce supply chain costs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations
Qualifications, General Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain and warehouse management in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chain operations and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Pronto software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven track record of successful leadership at the executive level, preferably in the FMCG industry or related sectors.
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends in Papua New Guinea.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and financial management, with a focus on driving growth and profitability.
- Integrity, resilience, and adaptability to navigate complex challenges and lead the company through periods of change and uncertainty.
- Familiarity with the cultural, economic, and regulatory environment in Papua New Guinea is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel to various store locations as required.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
