Role Summary

The Effluent Plant Technician is responsible for the efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure continuous treatment of mill effluent in compliance with environmental regulations and company standards. The role focuses on optimizing biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes, monitoring key water quality parameters, operating and troubleshooting plant equipment, maintaining accurate operational and laboratory records, and ensuring the effective use of chemicals, energy, and other resources while supporting safe and environmentally responsible plant operations.

Requirements/Qualifications

• GCE Advanced Level (A/L) qualification.
• NVQ Level 5 qualification, a Technical Diploma in a relevant field, or an equivalent recognized professional qualification.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in operations and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
