Training Consultant for Youth Entrepreneurship Development Program

Role Summary
To engage a qualified training consultant to design and deliver a customized two-day, in-person training program. The program aims to address specific developmental gaps identified by the MPower-U assessment, focusing on enhancing participants' entrepreneurial capabilities, financial discipline, and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities
- Needs Analysis & Customization: Review aggregated and anonymized MPower-U assessment data to tailor training to specific group needs (BXI, CXI, and TXI indices).
- Curriculum Development: Develop a two-day training curriculum focusing on:
- Enhancing Business Excellence (BXI): Strategic decision-making and mitigating cognitive biases.
- Building Entrepreneurial Excellence (CXI): Financial literacy and risk-taking.
- Improving Trainability (TXI): Reasoning, resilience, and interpersonal communication.
- Training Delivery: Facilitate the two-day program using interactive and participatory methodology, including case studies and role-playing.
- Assessment & Reporting: Conduct post-training assessment to measure learning outcomes and participant feedback; submit a final report with recommendations.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree or higher in Business Administration, Psychology, Behavioral Economics, or a related field. A PhD is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in designing and delivering training programs for youth or entrepreneurs.
- Proven track record in utilizing behavioral insights or psychology-based frameworks in training design.
- Experience working with data-driven or technology-assisted training tools is an advantage.
- Skills: Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse youth groups and interpret assessment data.
- Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.
- Ability to develop training curriculum and materials in all three languages.
- Proficiency in Sinhala and Tamil for facilitation; ability to engage qualified co-facilitators/translators if necessary.
Deliverables and Timeline
- Training Curriculum and Materials: One week before the training date.
- Two-Day Training Program (Delivery): 27th, 28th of August 2026.
- Post-Training Feedback Report: One week after the training.
- Final Consultant's Report: Two weeks after the training.
Proposal Submission
Interested consultants are invited to submit a technical and financial proposal detailing their understanding of the TOR, proposed methodology, team composition, work plan, and budget. Proposals should be submitted by 15th of August 2026 to srilankaprocurement@childfund.org.
